Praised in the New York Times for her "impeccable, thoughtfully shaped, dramatically taut" playing, violinist Claire Jolivet has rapidly established herself as one of this country’s leading interpreters of baroque and early classical repertoire. She maintains a busy career appearing regularly with ensembles throughout the Northeastern US, including Repast, Sarasa, Concert Royal, Sinfonia New York, Clarion, and the Trinity Baroque Orchestra. She is a founding member of the Dodd String Quartet and concertmaster of the Grand Tour Orchestra, and Opera Lafayette in Washington DC. She frequently performs in Europe with the Paris-based Opera Fuoco, and has appeared as a guest with Tafelmusic and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. She has recorded on the Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, ASV - Gaudeamus and Naxos labels.
