Repast adds recorder, theorbo, and an additional viola da gamba to this program focused on Holland’s Golden Age. Featuring the female composer Leonora Duarte, as well as Flemish and Dutch composers including Hacquart and Schop, this program portrays the exquisite intimacy of this genre, with projected images of paintings by Vermeer, Rubens, Frans Hals, and others as a backdrop to the music.
